Coat of Arms

College quilt for my son Breydi. He designed it with a Shield and swords containing his monogram. The Coat of arms is that of the Scottish Dunlaps. He chose Grey and Red but these were the only flannels in those colors we could find. We wanted it to be soft flannel but look to be mid evil wool. Breydi pencil sketched what he wanted and I tried my best to turn his drawings into fabric. The final flannel selection was from what was on hand that day at the Rigby fabric store. The finish product looks like it should be covering a stone castle wall someplace in Northern Scotland.
